Hello TSPAN Members,

I am pleased to announce the start of my term as your 2019 president! My name is Shari Breeden and my home is in Seymour, Tennessee (in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. I work in Maryville, Tennessee at Blount Memorial Hospital in PreOperative Clinic. I have been a PeriAnesthesia Nurse for 39 years, working in PACU, PreOp Holding, Outpatient Surgery and PreOp Testing Clinic. I have served TSPAN in many different roles. This past year serving as your Vice-President / President-Elect supporting Jeanne Glemser.     

 Jeanne will now serve in the capacity of Past President working on increasing TSPAN membership and serving as a expert consultant mentoring our current Board of Directors. I want to personally thank Jeanne for her continued dedication and support and kudos on an enriching 2018 TSPAN state conference at St. Jude in Memphis Tennessee!

I also want to introduce you to Jamye Gilliard who lives in Clarksville, Tennessee and works at Fort Campbell and will now be your Vice-President / President- Elect for the upcoming year 2020.  Jamye is an awesome PeriAnesthesia Nurse and her background knowledge will help lead TSPAN into the future. 

                                                                                                                                                                                            Our secretary is Carol Bell, from Hendersonville, Tennessee who has returned for another year as our meticulous record-keeper. Carol is the manager at St. Thomas Surgicare in Nashville area and is a valued member of our team with an abundance of knowledge in PeriAnesthesia. Carol was one of the first nurses to welcome me to an ASPAN National Conference several years ago.                                                                                       

Donna Gardner from Maryville, Tennessee - always providing us with the most up-to-date numbers in our finances - will continue as treasurer. Donna has returned to East Tennessee and works at UT Day Center as Manager. Donna is an awesome resource for any PerAnesthesia Nurse

 Serving as District presidents are Chris Buck, ETAPAN- East Tennessee, Kari Lahmon, WTSPAN-West Tennessee, Cathy Lee, Middle Tennessee-MTSPAN and Tammy Maynard, SETSPAN-South East/Chattanooga.

 I am blessed to be surrounded by a great team this year - all of us with the goal of making TSPAN as successful organization as possible.                                                                                                                                                     We want to hear from all of you -our members!
