Happy PeriAnesthesia Nurses Week PANAW (PANAW) 2024: A Letter from our TSPAN President

Hello All,

          Welcome to our 2024 Tennessee Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (TSPAN) website. I'm Mark Randall "Randy" Joheson, RN, CPAN/CAPA, continuing as 2024 TSPAN President. I hope all of you had a great holiday season and are ready to start the new year of 2024. We, on the TSPAN board, recognize and applaud your continued service and commitment in professionalism to your patients, their families, coworkers and surgeons. Please read our posting of ASPAN President Mr. Baker's New Year resolution and consider becoming more involved in ASPAN/TSPAN, who are always seeking new and interested candidates for active board membership. There are so many great rewards and accomplishments for perianesthesia nurses in being a member of TSPAN and even more so in becoming a board member. You may have already celebrated Perioperative Nurse's week which is sponsored by the OR Nursing staff's professional organization of American Society of OR Nurses (AORN) which works in collaboration with ASPAN (American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses).
